About 30 people came together to work up a sweat at an outdoor aerobics session in Kyalami.

The participants were put through their paces by two qualified fitness instructors in a two-hour session on October 8.

Zanele Vilakazi founder and owner of Athi Health and Fitness, a fitness club and activewear clothing company based at Kyalami Corner, said they hosted outdoor aerobics every second week with the hope of encouraging more community members to start keeping fit.

“We partner with running clubs and anyone who runs fitness events so that we can rally people around health and get people to start their health and fitness journey. It is important for us to take care of our bodies by living a healthy lifestyle. It is also important for people to join us because it is more of a family affair,” said Vilakazi.

Vilakazi added they catered for beginners and regular trainers.
